Wifey is a little dimensionally challenged, and she has a hard time visualizing what a house will look like by looking at architectural drawings. So I decided to build a model for her. It’s not finished, and I doubt I will actually ‘finish’ it since it won’t take much for it to fulfill its purpose. But crude as it is, it has been very helpful to us both.
The design has changed since I built the model but the basic fundamentals haven’t. It still has a shed roof and is passive solar. The high point is to the south, and there are clerestory windows beneath the eaves to admit winter sun.

The latest floor plan is a bit different, though.
